Dr. Naseem Faraz holds the position of Joint Economic Advisor at the Economic Advisor Wing, Finance Division. Previously, she has served as Senior Research Economist at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics. She has also held roles of the tax expenditure and revenue forecasting specialist with the World Bank and the Federal Board of Revenue, and contributed as Visiting Fellow at the CAREC Institute, ADB. Her research primarily focuses on Macroeconomics, Public Economics, and Trade. Her academic journey includes a Fulbright PhD scholarship and a Ph.D. in Economics from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA, where she wrote a dissertation on Finance and Economic Development. She has extensive research experience, she has produced several research studies, and policy reports which is widely cited by the stakeholders, academia and media.
