Dr. M. Muzammil Zia

Dr. M. Muzammil Zia earned his PhD from School of Finance & Economic in Jiangsu University, China. Previously, he has completed his M.Phil. degree from Friedrich Alexander University, Germany, with specialization in the field of Development Economics. He did bachelor’s in business administration. He was a Confucius Scholar during his bachelor where he got the scholarship to study Chinese language and culture from Beijing Language and Culture University, China. He attended and represented the Government of Pakistan in various forums related to Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) held in China as well as Pakistan.
Currently he is working as Regional Connectivity & Infrastructure Specialist in CPEC Secretariat, where his core responsibility is coordination and monitoring of all CPEC transport infrastructure projects including roads, railway, mass transit and airports. His current job description includes the liaising with provincial & federal government departments & Chinese state-owned enterprises to resolve any kind of issue arise during project planning, execution and after completion. To finalize the agenda for Joint Working Group (JWG) and Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meetings in consultation of all stakeholders is also part of his portfolio.
