Dr. Abdul Sattar is an academic and researcher, currently serving as the Director of the China Study Center at Balochistan University of information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS). He received his PhD in Economic Sciences from the University of Lille in France. He has been in academia for the past 13 years. His research interests include political economy, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), International Trade and Finance, and corporate taxation.
Dr. Sattar has publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is also a frequent participant in conferences and workshops on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Dr. Sattar is a strong advocate for economic cooperation between Pakistan and China. He believes that with inclusive policy-making approach CPEC has the potential to transform the Pakistani economy and create millions of jobs.
