He have over 20 years of experience comprising policymaking, central banking, consulting, teaching and research. He have the privilege to serve as the Chief Economist of Government of Pakistan with the responsibility to advise the highest decision making forums such as Central Development Working Party (CDWP), Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC), National Economic Council (NEC) and Federal Cabinet. He supervised the Investment programing of around 1300 projects pertaining to Social Development, Higher Education, IT, Energy Sector, Governance and Infrastructure with an annual development budget of Rs 800 billion and a through-forward of Rs 6.5 Trillion. He also led the preparation of Pakistan’s Vision 2025, 11th and 12th Five Year Plans, National Water Policy & Guidelines, restructuring roadmap of the Planning Commission and CPEC - Long term Plan (It delineates the aspirational goals of both the nations and a framework of cooperation worth $60 Billion of Projects under Chinese flagship Belt and Road Initiative). He taught Organization & Dynamics of Financial System, Economic Policy, and Innovation Strategy to executive and postgraduate programs at reputed universities of Pakistan and France. He also regularly contribute as resource person in different capacity building trainings of the senior Government officials at National Institute of Management, National School of Public Policy, National Defense University and Air War College. His research focuses on financial system, institutional economics, productivity, innovation, and technological change.
